Japanese tradition inspires not only in Asia

Yakisugi comes from Japan and is a traditional method of wood preservation. By carefully charring the surface of the wood without burning the raw material, the wood becomes waterproof due to the carbonization and is therefore durable. The treated layer also protects against insects. In interior arches or furniture construction, a special fixation of this layer is used.
